Funerals and Life Celebrations

Saying goodbye to a loved one is never easy, but a thoughtfully crafted funeral or life celebration can bring comfort, healing, and a true reflection of the life they lived. I feel deeply honoured to share their story—their quirks, their triumphs, their challenges, and the moments that made them uniquely them.
Whether your loved one has already passed or is nearing the end of their journey, I will take the time to truly understand who they were, ensuring their memory is honoured in a way that feels personal, meaningful, and full of love. Though death is final, the stories we tell and the memories we cherish will keep their spirit alive forever. If you would like to create a heartfelt tribute that truly captures their essence, please reach out—I am here to guide and support you during this difficult time.

Cremation Ceremonies

Once booked, I will meet with the head mourner, along with any family or close friends as wished, to discuss all aspects of the service. I will ask about your thoughts and ideas for the service ahead, as well as music, readings and poetry ideas.

We will chat about the deceased, their life, from childhood, through to when they died, and everything in between; their personality, their challenges and achievements, their career, passions, quirks, joys and memorable moments, and of course, their family.

I often record these meetings, as all the wonderful details you give me about your loved one will be called upon for me to create their ceremony.

The wishes of the deceased will also be included, should they have made a record of any element; this will absolutely be made a part of the service.

The tone and style of the ceremony will also be discussed, as well as perhaps any additional element, such as a ritual, which can involve all mourners who have come to pay their respects and support the family of the deceased.

I am always extremely honoured to conduct these ceremonies with your chosen funeral directors, as marking the end of someone's life is a special moment.

Celebration of Life

Remember that not all funeral services must be traditional or always be held at a crematorium. Nowadays, it is completely allowed to hold a memorial service for a loved one anywhere at all - in a park, hotel, pub, at the beach, a favoured place or in your own garden. The choice is yours.

Wherever you decide to hold it, I can help guide you through the options and perhaps a meaningful ritual can be included to make it personal to the deceased or even help members of their family say goodbye.

I have written a blog post, which you can locate from HERE, about alternative venues for a memorial ceremony and even blending it with a wake.

There is always a way to make the day work to wishes, pocket and tone.

"I honestly can't thank you enough for your creation and  delivery of Dad's service. Your words really captured his spirit and all of my family commented on how it felt like you actually knew him. With a character as lively as my dad's this was no mean feat. The love and dedication you clearly put into your work is evident and we are truly grateful to have had you as our celebrant.

Thanks again x  Lily A, Stanton, Suffolk
