The Wedding Ceremony Experience

As none of us is much practised in booking a wedding celebrant, the process is a tad unfamiliar to us. So, I explain here what your journey will entail, so you know what to expect, what to plan for and, basically, how the magic happens!!

Initial Chat

So, what happens once you have found your celebrant (hopefully me!)? You need to contact them to:
 

1. Check their availability for your chosen date - this is a must from the start!

2. Have a chat, get a feel for them and how you get on. You will usually know straight away, so throw in some humour and see if you laugh at the

    same things and that they 'get' the kind of ceremony you are aiming for.

3. Find out the cost, any additional expenses to consider, such as mileage, in-person rehearsals or physical commemorative scripts. 

4. To pay your booking fee to secure them for your date.

​This is often one of the most enjoyable parts of planning a celebrant-led wedding because it's where your ceremony begins to take shape. It's a chance to reflect on your journey together, share stories, laugh at memories and start creating a ceremony that feels completely and unmistakably yours.

By the end of the meeting, you'll have a much clearer picture of how your ceremony can become one of the most memorable and meaningful parts of your wedding day.
